CD 4340 Bar

Characteristics

Medium carbon nickel-chromium molybdenum, triple alloy steel 4340 bars create an excellent arrangement of ductility, toughness, and strength in the constructional alloy steels. It has good shock and impact resistance as well as wear and abrasion resistance in the hardened condition.  It is often utilized where other alloy steels do not have the hardenability to give the strength required.

Applications

Typical applications of CD 4340 bar – heavy duty shafting, machine tool arbors, trunnion shafts, axle shafts, mine drilling parts.
