Characteristics

Stressproof Steel is made by a patented process which consists of drawing the bar through a special die under heavy draft, then stress relieving it in a precisely controlled furnace.  It offers wearability without case hardening, strength without heat treating, and excellent machinability and tool life. Stressproof Steel resists fatigue and stress, and offers minimum warpage distortion. 

Applications

Typical applications are keyed shafts, racks, motor shafts, mandrels, bushings, and kingpins.
