ASTM A572-50 Bar - A572-50 Carbon Steel Bar - HSLA

Characteristics

ASTM A572-50 bar is a HSLA columbium-vanadium steel with a higher yield and tensile strength as compared to ASTM A-36 bar. These stronger steels permit the reduction of section thickness and weight, providing added payload capacity in transportation applications as well as material cost savings.

Applications

It is used in bridges, buildings, construction equipment, freight cars, machinery, truck parts, and other applications.
