Characteristics

316 / 316L stainless steel beam exhibits higher corrosion and pitting resistance than 304 alloys due to higher percentages of molybdenum and nickel in the alloy. It is available as an extruded, hot rolled or laser-fused product. It performs well in more corrosive environments, including salt water, chemical and acid processing and waste water treatment.

Applications

316 / 316L beams are used as structural beams, supports and braces in salt water, marine, petrochemical, chemical, water treatments applications.
