O'Neal's Weldment Operations produce everything from simple bracket weldments and precision parts to subassemblies and complex mainframes that are fabricated from hundreds of processed components and machined parts - then shipped to the customer ready for on-line assembly.
Our facilities consist of some of the largest and most versatile equipment available, including CNC boring mills, contour bevel-head plasma burners, automated welding stations, a state-of-the-art 12-wheel blast cabinet, and a 50-foot paint booth. Our highly integrated, comprehensive weldment operations serve a wide range of OEM industries such as mining, machining, material handling, construction, railroad, forestry, power generation, and farming.
All O'Neal welders have a minimum certification of AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code in either GMAW (gas metal arc welding) and/or FCAW (flux core arc welding) in the 1-G flat position. And because many of our weldments require extensive machine work in either the subweldment or finishing stage of production, we employ only the most skilled and conscientious machine operators and programmers, and utilize a wide variety of technologically advanced CNC equipment. In almost all cases, our computer programmers work directly from customers' DXF or DWG files, which results in a virtually seamless subcontractor relationship.
Massive undertakings, such as the production of complex mainframes, require an exceptional degree of efficiency, accuracy, and planning. Therefore, O'Neal not only relies on precision equipment and skilled personnel, but also on a computerized tracking system. All of our routings are bar coded to guide each individual step of the production process - from stock plate to finished product. And as for quality control, our sophisticated inspection equipment and on-staff Certified Weld Inspectors ensure superior workmanship on each and every job.
