Floor plate not only adds a nice appearance, it will make for a safer work environment. We carry floor/tread plate in the following metal types:
The floor plate shape is a thick sheet of metal with raised lugs in various patterns. Floor plating can sometimes be referred to as “diamond” plating due to the unique diamond shaped lugs that decorate the metal shape. While it’s most commonly used as flooring, due to its non-slip texture and ability to support heavy loads, floor plate is also utilized in tool boxes and dock plates. This shape can be cut to length through our shearing service.
Aluminum is one of the most versatile materials available for engineering and construction purposes. Although it is light-weight, aluminum still boasts great strength and corrosion resistance. Aluminum products, such as tube or sheet, can be easily formed and machined, making it a simple metal type to work with. It’s commonly used in creating aircrafts, tanks, housing structures, and more. Beneficial aluminum properties include low mass, thermal and electrical conductivity, and high reflectivity.Learn More
Hot rolled steel is created by rolling steel at a high temperature that lends it to being easily shaped and formed. The mills that produce hot rolled are very efficient, consistently flattening the product into large rolls, which leads to lower costs for O’Neal Steel customers. Hot rolled steel is typically used in situations where precise shapes or tolerances are not required. It’s commonly utilized by the farming, construction, automotive, and mining industries.Learn More
Stainless steel is a modern alloy that was developed in the early 1900’s. Its high strength, hardness, and workability makes stainless steel a useful metal type for a wide variety of uses.
O’Neal Steel offers three different grades of stainless steel: austenitic, ferritic, and martensitic. Each grade of stainless offers varying special properties including high corrosion resistance, special finishes, and extreme toughness. Stainless steel is a low-cost material, making it a great metal type for a plethora of projects, and it is easily recycled.Learn More
